Subaru Legacy



The level opposite turbo-diesel engine with which the essence of the technology of Subaru was brought together in the 08-year Geneva show performed from March 6 is announced. This is peculiar to a diesel car and the engine limiter of this car actually operates at 4800rpm.
The number of rotations of 4800rpm feels thing insufficient with some frustrations for the driver who got used to the gasoline engine and was familiar with it. However, condition like surging that it takes for approaching an end common to a diesel engine also in that highest rotation region in the case of this boxer diesel, and a rotation rise becomes astringent is not felt almost. Therefore, an engine limiter is touched at the moment of thinking ハッ, and many cases of a rise shift will be experienced confusedly.
The missions only of 5 速 MT for exclusive use are. A gearshift is made shorter 10mm than a gasoline vehicle, and it has become a clever feeling. The time lag of an upshift can be made smaller than before, and it can use up, without making thick torque useless.

A system called a common-rail was adopted as the latest diesel engine, and this improved the performance of the diesel engine at a stretch. When it estimates at sale in Japan where next year and the year after next are spoken about, in a natural thing, the further cost reduction is an important matter of future diesel development.
Anyway, sale in Japan is long in coming. Because it is full and is said no less than 1100km anyway that it will run.
