According to the sales ranking classified by car's name of the new car in the first half (January to June) of 08 which Japan Automobile Dealers Association etc. announced on the 4th, the minivehicle "Wagon R" of Suzuki became the first place for five consecutive years with the first half base. The popularity of the gas-snipper was increasing in gasoline quantity, and six types of a car were [ 軽 and three types of a car ] small-size cars among top 10 types of a car.
Wagon R is a forerunner of the box type wagon mainstream now in 軽. Although the present type of a car used as the 3rd generation has left sale for five years, the large interior of a room etc. is deep-rooted popularity. The 2nd place was a 軽箱 type wagon "ムーヴ" of Daihatsu Motor.
The 3rd place was a small-size car a "fit" of Honda, and when 軽 was removed, it was attached to the first place for the first time in six years with the first half base.
